Public bug reported: Binary package hint: digikam
digikam 2:1.2.0-0ubuntu2 (Lucid) Albums on removable media will not load or display unless hal is installed. This appears to be noted in the halsectomy page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Halsectomy A bug report was filed upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215486 However, it is not clear that the KDE people are enthusiastic about fixing the dependence on hal. Perhaps for now we can at least list hal as a recommends if not a dependency? I installed hal and had to remove the collection, re-add it, wait for 10 minutes for digikam to scan it, but now I have my albums back. ** Affects: digikam (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- albums on removable storage won't load without hal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588548 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to digikam in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
