The new version of Sysinfo was released recently. It is based on Mono (C#). I've attached an experimental package to this bug report. Could you test it please? (For me it works, but I need some feedback.) If it works fine, it'll be uploaded to Feisty. Librarian though the sysinfo.strace file was html for some reason. And here's the strace associated with the run that produced the crash. This run is on a different machine from the one that originally caused me to report the bug. So far, I have been unable to run sysinfo in edgy at all.
