I found that this bug is related with Bug #22985 (So we can mark this one as duplicated). The problem is solved by adding Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS,AUTO" at the monitor section of xorg.conf. I think that the problem is that the open source driver (xserver-xorg- video-ati) doesn't work for our graphic card (My computer has also an ATI X700). I updated from dapper to edgy via Internet and I installed the propietary driver xorg-driver-fglrx, and it works for me. I don't know, if it is similar or a different bug. But edgy(tried with every knot and beta) doesn't find my graphic card. tried Live-CD and upgrade from Dapper. But x-server isn't able to start.
