Public bug reported: Binary package hint: audacious
This bug affects only Crossfade Plugin. In "File -> Preferences -> Audio -> Crossfade Plugin Preferences (first select plugin)-> Crossfader (tab)" combobox "Set parameter for:" has apparently two options mixed. "Manual stop" and "End of playlist" seem to have the effect the other should have. For example changing "Fade out: Length" in "End of playlist" will affect the crossfade length after pressing the stop button. And changing "Fade out: Length" in "Manual stop" will affect the crossfading at the end of the last song of the playlist.
