Public bug reported: Ubuntu, 9.10, everything just fine. Now, I cannot open trash, I expected trash to open so I could recover a file in by mistake. I had no idea there was over 150 MB of info in it. It just spins the little wheel that tells me it is loading, but it doesn't.
