[Bug 603718] Re: sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/class/net/bnep0'

2010-10-24 Thread vvilhonen
I'm experiencing this with maverick and 2.6.35-22-generic. I have
similar Samsung laptop as the original poster, but my bluetooth chip is
0a5c:2101.

2010-07-24 Thread AttilaN
I'm getting a very similar error message after resuming from standby,
and bluetooth stops working (indicator grayed out). Same results with
2.6.35-12 maverick backport and rc6 mainline kernel too.

[Bug 603718] Re: sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/class/net/bnep0'

2010-07-21 Thread Jeremy Foshee
Hi Zygmunt,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be
done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the
bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.
Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 603718] Re: sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/class/net/bnep0'

2010-07-20 Thread Eugene
Identical problem here, trying to connect to a myTouch 3G running
Android 2.1 (cyanogenmod) via bluetooth tether. Running on an MSI U-100
laptop. Connection used to work without issues on the linux-
image-2.6.32-24-generic kernel. Running lts maverick backport in lucid
lynx; kernel is:

UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

(also had the issue with .35-7). Relevant syslog is nearly identical:

The link /sys/class/net/bnep0 is a link to a nonexistent file. Tried
restarting networking and modprobe -r bnep. Neither worked.
