I believe this is a network-manager issue. If you could visit https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager and read and follow the instructions listed under "Capture Log" Then attach the syslog it would be greatly help track down your problem. well, I narrowed it down and it isn't firefox, I downloaded google chrome and seamonkey and it all did the same problem so its definitely not the web browser.. its either the usb wireless card and the os compability...
