I just wanted to add. I am also experiencing this problem. Both hibernate and suspend do not work. Yes, I rebooted my laptop, and then added the Xorg.0.log file. To be sure I did a diff with Xorg.0.log.old, but that one had only minor differences. Are you sure it freezed in the end of that log file or Xorg.1.log? I would like to see Xorg's log for time when freezing happened.
