There is nothing wrong with my LG DVD/RW. I've just tested with a Samsung DVD/RW. Same problem. After that, I searched for nVidia MCP61 IDE and found someone with similar problem. I seems that this motherboard doesn't work well with older IDE DVD drives. There are some forums suggesting that this problem is related to a bug in firmware. So I updated it from 1.02 to 1.06. Palimpsest confirms the update. Now I can watch Alias season One, but still can't watch Lord of the Rings. I have no idea why.
