FYI: I no longer get any errors in Edgy.  It seems to be working
perfectly now.  It seems to have been a problem with Edgy itself that
has since resolved itself.

New Information:

The crash is not happening at startup, it is actually happening at
shutdown.  The crash report simply shows up the next time you log in.  I
had reinstalled edgy and had not yet put synergy into my startup program
list but I had started it manually and everything worked fine.  Then I
rebooted and sure enough, there was the crash report, even though
synergy was not in my startup list.

I don't know about anyone else but I run synergy out of gnome session
configuration (System-Preferences-Session-Startup Programs). I'm not sure
that this handles shutting the process down cleanly, but I'm guessing that
it's not happening till Sending all process the term signal... at the end
of the shutdown sequence.

I also get a crash report when ubuntu edgy starts up.  However, the
program appears to be working just fine.  I have synergys listed as one
of the startup programs in System|Preferences|Sessions.  When I log into
ubuntu, I get the crash report icon in the upper left-hand corner saying
that synergys has crashed, but despite the crash report, synergy is up
and running and my client has successfully connected to it.  I am unable
to determine whether synergys restarted itself or just falsely generated
a crash report.  I've upgraded/downgraded back and forth from dapper to
edgy several times and each time I go to edgy, I get this problem.
