[Bug 62213] Re: Installer crashed - Ubuntu dapper live CD

2007-01-04 Thread Henrik Nilsen Omma
There is an interesting error in /var/log/installer/syslog

/lib/partman/recipes.sh: line 31: local: `-': not a valid identifier

and /lib/partman/recipes.sh does indeed have a line 31:

local ignore ram line word min factor max fs -

which looks odd to me. Can '-' be used this way in shell scripts?

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided = Medium
   Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed

** Summary changed:

- Installer crashed - Ubuntu dapper live CD
+ recipes.sh: line 31: local: `-': not a valid identifier

[Bug 62213] Re: Installer crashed - Ubuntu dapper live CD

2006-10-08 Thread Vassilis Pandis
According to the logs, /dev/hdb1 is a bit under 2 GB which explains why
the install failed. Since you chose to automatically partition, this
shouldn't be happening. I'm temporarily unmarking this as a dupe to make
sure it doesn't get lost ( if it turns out to be an original problem)

** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 48355
partitioner should warn about too small disk while autopartitioning

I don't see how this is a dupe of 48355. My hard drive is 30 gigs and
all it had on it was Edgy, when I selected the option to reformat the
entire disk. How can it be out of space?

Not sure if this is how I should reply, but here is my comment:
