IN order to cut the problem data down to manageable size, I tried the following, which is associated with the problem reported. In this case a playable MP3 file is imported (as the contents of a folder) and doesn't show up, yet there is no error message. The folder name is '/media/m2/A/music/verdi' and the file is 'Verdi - _Nabucco_ - Karajan [Complete].mp3'.
