For me it didn't even help to eject the DVD, usb-creator still insisted in using my (now empty) DVD drive! This happenend on an installation of Oneiric Beta 2 amd64, on Natty I didn't see this problem so far (was my drive always empty when I used usb-creator in Natty? Exactly the same problem here.
