[Bug 634230] Re: Cannot adjust Brightness on Lenovo G560 core i5 using Fn+Up Fn+Dn keys
Yahya Al-Hajj, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please report the results following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Debugging/Backlight ? As well, can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. ** Attachment removed: WifiSyslog.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570450/+files/WifiSyslog.txt ** Attachment removed: UdevLog.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570449/+files/UdevLog.txt ** Attachment removed: UdevDb.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570448/+files/UdevDb.txt ** Attachment removed: ProcModules.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570447/+files/ProcModules.txt ** Attachment removed: ProcInterrupts.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570446/+files/ProcInterrupts.txt ** Attachment removed: ProcCpuinfo.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570445/+files/ProcCpuinfo.txt ** Attachment removed: PciMultimedia.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570444/+files/PciMultimedia.txt ** Attachment removed: Lsusb.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570443/+files/Lsusb.txt ** Attachment removed: Lspci.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570442/+files/Lspci.txt ** Attachment removed: IwConfig.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570441/+files/IwConfig.txt ** Attachment removed: CurrentDmesg.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570440/+files/CurrentDmesg.txt ** Attachment removed: Card0.Codecs.codec.3.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570439/+files/Card0.Codecs.codec.3.txt ** Attachment removed: Card0.Codecs.codec.1.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570438/+files/Card0.Codecs.codec.1.txt ** Attachment removed: Card0.Amixer.values.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570437/+files/Card0.Amixer.values.txt ** Attachment removed: BootDmesg.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570436/+files/BootDmesg.txt ** Attachment removed: AplayDevices.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570435/+files/AplayDevices.txt ** Attachment removed: AlsaDevices.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+attachment/1570434/+files/AlsaDevices.txt ** Description changed: ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Tags removed: lenovo-g560 ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/634230 Title: Cannot adjust Brightness on Lenovo G560 core i5 using Fn+Up Fn+Dn keys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/634230/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
