Yes, dragging from the Apps Place to the Launcher is critical for Natty.

  This really should not be a wishlist item.  This should be a must
have before we put Unity on hopefully the vast majority of existing
Ubuntu desktops and hopefully a vast majority of FIRST TIME Ubuntu
desktops as well as netbooks and laptops where it's existed for a little
while now.

An intuitive means for adding app launchers is something that is kind of
a must have for a UI shift of this magnitude.  Can we please bump this
up from Wishlist to something with a little higher priority?
