No, that's OK. Don't downgrade udev. The answer to my question in comment #2 is obviously "No". Are usb-modeswitch and usb-modeswitch-data fully up to date? [Bug 636898] Re: USB 3G card not working
@madbiologist: I need some additional hints. The only udev version available in my package manager is 162-1, which is higher than the one proposed on http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/maverick/beta, shall I add any PPA to downgrade it? Anyway, I tried to retry the 3G card. Some minutes after the hotplug, a new modemmanager crash happened (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/modemmanager/+bug/640094). Does updating udev as described in the "Known issues" section of the Maverick beta release notes at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/maverick/beta fix the problem? ** Changed in: modemmanager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- USB 3G card not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636898 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
