Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-me
With the updates of today the me-menu properly shows a label, indicating to which services you have configured gwibber to transmit the message. I would expect this message automatically disappears as I start typing in the text field. However, this is not the case. Removing it by hand everytime is cumbersome and unneccessary. It also breaks expectations one has of a label. Furthermore, when one changes in gwibber to which service one posts with the field, it does not automatically update the label in the me-menu. Once you remove the labeltext, close the me-menu and open it again, the label gets updated. This should happen automatically as the change is made in gwibber (thus in effect, whenever one opens the me-menu). I feel that, if these two issues are fixed, the me-menu would finally start to be transparent and inherently useful as a result.
