[Bug 64174] Re: GUI doesn't appear on startup, ATI X300 not recognised?
** Description changed: After getting the Kubuntu logo and a progress bar, the graphical login screen doesn't show up. Instead I get the following message: Starting up... Ubuntu edgy (development branch) tty1 where is the name I gave the computer during installation. Any idea what could be wrong? From what I think myself, the videocard ATI Radeon X300 is simply not recognised. - It is also not in the list of /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Sorry, but I think you misunderstood my question. It's a bit more complicated. I can't see my Linux files in Windows, so when I click browse, there's no way to find that log and conf file. Is there a way to copy those files from Linux to Windows (because in Linux, without GUI, I can't browse and attach a file). Sorry for the inconvenience, but this would be really interesting to know. Sorry, but I think you misunderstood my question. It's a bit more complicated. I can't see my Linux files in Windows, so when I click browse, there's no way to find that log and conf file. Is there a way to copy those files from Linux to Windows (because in Linux, without GUI, I can't browse and attach a file). Sorry for the inconvenience, but this would be really interesting to know.
