[Bug 64468] [Edgy]External USB Drive no longer accessible in vmware
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vmware-player In Dapper, VMware was able to use XP for old applications and used an external Western Digital 120 GB USB hard drive as a backup drive (is formatted NTFS). I would power up the USB drive once I was logged into XP in vmware and the drive would become available. After upgrading to Edgy and using vmware, when the drive is powered up, vmware does not allow it to be recognized. Edgy mounts the drive and will not allow vmware access to the USB drive.
