Are you sure this was not just  a temporary glitch in accessing the
archives?  I was able to install python-sqlite without problem.  Please
try again and if you get the same error, check your network connectivity
to the archive, etc.  See if you can install any other packages, or if
python-sqlite is the only one giving you problems.  Be sure to do a
'sudo apt-get update' first.
