I've got the same problem since the problem with the gateway is solved.
Now essid and key are corrupted.
So I have to repair it manually with iwconfig everytime I start my computer.

I can confirm that.
Changing the gateway with network-admin change also wireless-essid & 
wireless-key in /etc/network/interfaces.
