System monitor reports heavy disk usage but no application is working. dmesg reports lost interrupt from /dev/hdb (cdrom) but the only application hat has this device open is hald. I want to check it before move to 6.10 to allow fix any bugs in case this is a software error. Disabling DMA aparently solve the problem but this is a new behavior. I've DMA actived since 5.10 because DVD is too slow w/out it. $ sudo hdparm -I /dev/hdb /dev/hdb: ATAPI CD-ROM, with removable media Model Number: PHILIPS CD-RW/DVD-ROM SCB5265 Serial Number: Firmware Revision: TX07 Standards: Likely used CD-ROM ATAPI-1 Configuration: DRQ response: 50us.
