[Bug 657106] Re: X with nvidia takes 3 minutes to load
This affects me too. I'm using 10.10, 460 GTX. However I found that nouveau kernel module is still loaded on boot even if nvidia proprietary driver is installed and activated. When I blacklisted nouveau the issue looks to be fixed.
