This is a problem with a numpy that you installed yourself, not the one 
provided by Ubuntu:
 NumPy version 1.4.1
 NumPy is installed in /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/numpy

That should be:
 NumPy version 1.3.0
 NumPy is installed in /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/numpy

Ubunut hasn't shipped 1.4.1. Remove numpy from /usr/local and try again
