But Ben, I tried today in Dapper (with official ubuntu kernel 2.6.15) with the same linux-dvb module and do the same things. My webcam is working, my dvb usb key too. Looks like you have a self-compiled or similar module. Yes I've compiled last linux-dvb module, because it doesn't want to work on my computer (see my comment in bug #58742)...
