Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
It seems that the modesetted version of the i915 driver does not support
two separate displays, I can get only a display clone, no matter what I
try in systemsettings. However in the non modesetted version it works
fine.
I am trying this with the LVDS display, and a VGA cable monitor. (I
have no displayport on this laptop, so I can't test the display port
its showing.)
