I had problems with Japanese fonts under evince/okular until I installed
poppler-data (which was not an obvious fix). Shouldn't poppler-data be
installed automatically if I request Japanese language support at system
installation (as I did)?

The file attached to comment #1 displays fine here on Ubuntu 10.10 with
evince 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 with poppler-data installed.
