I can confirm this bug. Switching to a different UI theme fixes it, except for these: Human and Redmond exhibit the exact same behaviour. Crux overrides the volume and CPU indicators (but not the network ones). it's probably a bug in those xfce applets then. I don't know what they do and whether they should use another color.
