[Bug 68075] Re: Unknown ATI Video Card (X1000-series)
Bugs #70391 and #75412 were marked as duplicates of this bug, but I think there is a little difference: this bug is related to linux-restricted-modules package which offers closed source `fglrx' driver and supports ATI X1300 to X1950 series. I opened bug #75412 because package xserver-xorg-video-ati (open source) doesn't support those series. Yes, they work with `fglrx' driver but there is not DRI + Composite extension support, that's why I'm waiting for the support on the `radeon' driver in xserver-xorg-video-ati package! -- Unknown ATI Video Card (X1000-series) https://launchpad.net/bugs/68075 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 68075] Re: Unknown ATI Video Card (X1000-series)
The X1300 cards are supposed to work with the closed-source fglrx driver from linux-restricted-modules. At least mine does. Otherwise, what Timo said. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xserver-xorg-video-ati = linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17 -- Unknown ATI Video Card (X1000-series) https://launchpad.net/bugs/68075 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
