Binary package hint: linux-image-generic
CPU (Intel i5 M 450) on Dell Vostro 3700 runs very hot, even when CPU-
load is <1%. Temperature is 65°C when idle, rising to 75°C when under
full load. Temperatures seem correctly reported, CPU is too hot too
touch at this temp. Running Windows 7 the CPUs have a idle temp of
35-40°C, also verified by "hand thermometer". according powertop cpu is
92.5% inc C3 wait and 95,8% running at 1.2GHz (half speed).
Already tried several different kernels, oldest was 2.6.19 based. Also
happens with ubuntu vanilla kernel.
