Over 3 months without a response. Assuming fix to gnat-gps has resolved
the problem. Please reopen if you can confirm bug still exists for nfs-
utils and/or update-manager.

open for nfs-utils and update-manager?

I can confirm this regarding gnat-gps-doc package.
Error as specified in the above post.
Attached is output of 'head -n 16 /usr/share/info/tutorial'

As an aside, that seems a lousy name for the file.  Every package in creation 
could put a 'tutorial' there, then what would we have?
The file should be named 'gnat-gps-tutorial'.

I see the fix is in upstream (Debian).  I worked around it by providing
complete information on the install-info command line.

Thanks for this additional information and the correction. I updated the
title+description accordingly. So to summarize:

Postinst failure from gnat-gps-doc:
Setting up gnat-gps-doc (3.1.3-2ubuntu1) ...
No `START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY' and no `This file documents'.
install-info(/usr/share/info/tutorial.info): unable to determine description 
for `dir' entry - giving up
dpkg: error processing gnat-gps-doc (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Postinst failure from nfs-kernel-server:
Setting up nfs-kernel-server (1.0.9-2ubuntu1) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server ...
dpkg: error processing nfs-kernel-server (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Problem with the conffile prompt of nfs-kernel-server (that sounds like
it might be a duplicate of #69051 ?).
