Hi Philip, If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. Further to bug report above, I have tried reverting to 2.6.32-26 and then 2.6.32-27 repeatedly (only checked once before filing bug). On the third cycle, I was also able to get Compiz working on 2.6.32-27. compiz-check now shows: Gathering information about your system...
