[Bug 693273] Re: [gm45] Ubuntu boots into blank screen
I don't know about 11.04 natty but this error does come up on ubuntu 9.10. Even I can use compiz at full settings. But on Ubuntu 10.04, I get this error. Strangely, this error does not come on Ubuntu 10.10. But I could not use compiz. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/693273 Title: [gm45] Ubuntu boots into blank screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 693273] Re: [gm45] Ubuntu boots into blank screen
Problem for GM45 intel laptop chip also exists on fresh 11.04 (natty). You can see only a very dark login window - no backlight. Tried xorg-edgers kernel ppa's to no avail. Only setting i915.modeset=0 shows bright enough display, but that limits X to 1024x768 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/693273 Title: [gm45] Ubuntu boots into blank screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
