well.. this issue is obviously being handled in Precise, thanks a lot for that! Using the alpha, i noticed that the window corners are no longer round when tiling windows to either the left half or to the right half of a screen. I know it looks better in precise right now, but unfortunately that is due to bug 924736. After we fixed that bug, this problem returned (which you will see in a precise update some time soon). I agree, it would be nice for semi-maximized / grid-placed windows to lose the round corners still.
