Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

While installing the current »Ubuntu Natty Alpha« (32 Bit) and the
installer is crashing, there are messages (strings) [1] that appear
untranslated though they were translated a long time ago (e.g. for
German: end of Feb 2010). This bug is not about the installer sometimes
crashing but about the messages that are displayed in the wrong
language:

»Installer crashed«
»We''re sorry; …«

I'm from the Ubuntu German Translators team and I've checked these two
messages in Launchpad; they are translated. Why doesn't the installer
display them in German, though »German« language was selected during the
installation? Please see the attached screen shots (credits for those
screen shots and for originally reporting this issue go to Hendrik
Knackstedt [2] ;-)

Thank You in advance for some insight to that and maybe fixing this.

Regards

Dennis

Title:
During installer crashing, strings don't appear localized but in English,
though they were already translated
