I attempted to run the instructions you gave me without success. Since I'm
now running OpenOffice 3.3.0 without the problem, please close the bug report.

Hi Jerry Lapham,

I think it is worth trying it on the live environment of the Desktop CD
of the development release - Natty Narwhal.

Since I filed the bug report I've downloaded and installed Open Office 3.3.0
directly from Open Office. It doesn't have the problem. Open Office 3.2.1
still
crashes but is it worth pursuing?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

I tried to reproduce the issue, but I couldn't.

Please try to obtain a backtrace following the instructions at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace
(as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in
tracking down your problem.
