Binary package hint: abiword
My locale is ru_UA (Russian in Ukraine).
All software that haven't ru_UA localization uses ru_RU locale but not Abiword.
It uses some English locale (I think it uses en_US).
Starting abiword with LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 solves the problem.
