Rouben, the team working on the desktop is "desktop-bugs", and the package has been changed to not use gksu before edgy so the comment you pointed has been fixed, might be an another bug though -- network-admin error https://launchpad.net/bugs/70756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 70756] Re: network-admin error
Dodi, thanks for pointing out the GNOME bugzilla information. I therefore assigned this issue to the Ubuntu GNOME team. See my previous comment for specific information as well as a proposed fix. There's a possibility that this is a Debian issue (since most of the packages in Ubuntu are inherited from Debian), and I am hopeful that someone from Ubuntu's GNOME team can determine if we should refer this to Debian developers/packagers. -- network-admin error https://launchpad.net/bugs/70756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 70756] Re: network-admin error
The GNOME developers proposed a fix for this problem on their bugtracker (see comment #10 at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354536#c10 ). ** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu GNOME Status: Needs Info => Confirmed -- network-admin error https://launchpad.net/bugs/70756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

RE: [Bug 70756] Re: network-admin error
Sorry for that I've check at bugzilla site it seems the status is resolved See Bug: #372072 & #372073 at bugzilla system. But I don't know how to fix that on my laptop :) Thanks Dedi -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rouben Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2006 8:48 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 70756] Re: network-admin error Hello Dedi, Thanks for responding. You mentioned that you already reported this bug to Gnome's bugzilla. I'm having trouble finding it, could you please provide me with the bug number for your report in their bugzilla system? I see you're part of the bugsquad team, so I think once you know the Gnome bugzilla issue number, you can add it to this ticket so that we can track the issue better. RE: [Bug 70756] Re: network-admin error
Yes this Bug still appears in my laptop it using Realtek chipset for network card (RTL-8139/8139C+ (rev 10)). This happend when I go to properties of network connection (from desktop panel), click configure button and the bug tool start opening it self and report to gnome website, with all the technical detail (I have include the details in launchpad bug report site). Since this bug on my laptop still not solved yet, I use xnetcardconfig ver: 0.20-1 (network config tool) instead of using built in tool from ubuntu 6.10.
