Here on 6400 the keys don't work. This is a problem on Dell Inspiron 6400 as well. I've installed 915resolution to fix the resolution so I suspect this might be the culprit but I didn't test the keys before, unfortunately. Hello I have the same problem : Brightness keys (Fn+UP and Fn+Down) do not work in ubuntu 6.10. When I do that, the session is starting again to log in screen. He Just tried it with my dapper and edgy life cds. The Hotkeys work in dapper ! So it must be a edgy issue !
