I've just fixed this issue executing this command: sudo bash -c echo 'options snd-hda-intel model=auto position_fix=0' /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf I found this on Ubuntu French forum: http://forum.ubuntu- fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=428181p=2 Hope this helps.
