Thanks a lot, this fixed the problem. It was probably my own fault - having deleted the tomcat folder accidentially and only reinstallung the tomcat6-common packge. Sorry for not reinstalling the dependency on my own. Hi Jan Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It looks like something has gone wrong during installation of tomcat6; these links should have been created when the libtomcat6-java package was installed (a direct dependency of tomcat-common). Please could you try re-installing the package using the following command: sudo apt-get install --reinstall libtomcat6-java Please update this bug report if this resolves your issue; if not any log output from completing this command would be useful.
