I'm not sure unbalanced interrupts could be the cause for poor
performance.  I'd never heard of them until reading this bug report!  If
you see noticeable performance gains in running that utility, please
reopen this bug.  I'm still not quite sure what Ubuntu can do to try to
address this, though.

Could you please be a little more specific? I have only been using linux
for 1 year and I don't know what that means? I am using Ubuntu Dapper
Drake. Do I need to download that app from the repo's? Can I get it from
source? How do I run it? DO I create a little script to run this little
app each time I start my computer until this is fixed in the kernel?
What are the disadvantages of unbalanced interupts?

Run irqbalance userspace utility for a temporary fix
