Any news about this? [Bug 748407] Re: Unable to connect to a VPN pptp in Natty
I set my config to manual and can successfully connect to a test SwissVPN account. AFAICT, this works. Can you provide further information about your connection? Are you certain all settings are properly set to agree with the server's configuration? Setting incorrect settings for encryption, MPPE and others may cause connections to appear established but not carry any data. You should probably try without changing any of the settings in Advanced. Normally, we should be able to tell such a thing from the logs in /var/log/syslog, but from what's attached the best I can offer is to say that the server may not be handing IP addresses properly at this time, judging from the timeout message. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748407 Title: Unable to connect to a VPN pptp in Natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 748407] Re: Unable to connect to a VPN pptp in Natty
There must be something wrong with my interface. This morning can not I connect to the VPN. I can't confirm this, I can successfully connect to a SwissVPN account from here. HacKurx, could you please confirm whether this is an imported connection, or roughly what your settings are for that VPN?
