When not running Unity, the menu is there, allowing you to click on View->Fullscreen. But then I don't think this is a Banshee specific interface bug. You can fullscreen and unfullscreen any window using Ctrl+Alt+Enter (the configured keybinding for fullscreen in Compiz), and few applications, if any, allow you to exit fullscreen using the mouse without a menu. That "Leave fullscreen" button only seems to come up when you go to the "Now Playing" option on the left hand side. If you're full screen already from the library and click on the Now Playing option, the album art window takes up the main section of the screen. Just double checked under Ubuntu Classic on Natty. Looks like it is Unity specific.
