*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 59378 *** The problem is that Edgy's Sysinfo is written in C++, and its development was discontinued by the upstream author. It was rewritten in C#, using Mono - that's working and included in Feisty. The problem is that the backport policy says that only minor modifications are accepted. A complete rewrite is not like that... I'm really sorry. It just seemed weird it wasn't fixed for Edgy, but now i see the reason why. The new package works perfect here, so that is a solution. The only question is, how can you keep new sysinfo users from getting the error and not knowing what to do. Maybe the package can be removed from the edgy repo's? Either way.
