Indeed it should do that, however this issue is related to nautilus association formats so there is nothing we can do here. Please fill a new report against nautilus package explaining same effects and behaviour that you are expecting. @kamus : Yes you are right, every file is set to start with totem in nautilus and not with Banshee.
