fetchmail does not modify user addresses, this behaviour is usually a
hint that the MTA behind fetchmail is misconfigured and attaches the
local domain to unqualified addresses - and note that fetchmail looks
like an injection from a local user!

If you still think this is a fetchmail bug, please attach a trace as
shown on  to prove
that.
