[Bug 759319] Re: Can't mount encrypted home after using userconfig to change password
Hi there! Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging. [Bug 759319] Re: Can't mount encrypted home after using userconfig to change password
I don't think anyone has looked at this bug ever. In fact, I think the package "userconfig" is abandoned. There has been no work done on it since 2010: https://code.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-packagers/guidance/userconfig-kde4 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759319 Title: Can't mount encrypted home after using userconfig to change password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/userconfig/+bug/759319/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 759319] Re: Can't mount encrypted home after using userconfig to change password
Hi, I have the same problem on Xubuntu 12.04 LTS. After changing password via 'sudo passwd user_name' command, after reboot I was not able to log in, because after entering a new password, the screen goes black for ~ 3 seconds and LightDM appeared again. I had to switch to another console with 'ctrl+alt+FX' command and change the password to the previous one. I see, that this problem is pretty old. Is there any, working solution?
