[Bug 768542] Re: time and date settings do not open when selected from top menu
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 751175 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751175 I am also experiencing a bug and have also found a workaround. The problem appears to be with elevation - ie the date and time app fails to request it. Running from terminal the above quoted command works if you ask for elevation. So: $ sudo /usr/bin/indicator-datetime-preferences works fine for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/768542 Title: time and date settings do not open when selected from top menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/768542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

curious... it ran for a minute or so (without any windows being displayed whatsoever) without any message and then (indicator-datetime-preferences:9162): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Do you have evolution installed?
