Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
1. In gconf-editor, uncheck the box /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock_on_suspend. 2. use the power button in the upper corner of unity to choose suspend. 3. turn the computer back on. See that the setting is ignored, i.e. the screen is locked. Note that if you use the "Shut Down the Computer" dialogue instead to suspend the machine, it is not locked upon resuming.
